Redwood Valley  High School

A word from the principal:

Thank you for visiting the RVHS home page. Have a great summer break and we look forward to seeing you all next fall.  Back-to-School Night will be on Thursday, August 16 from 6-8 p.m.

Redwood Valley takes pride in bettering each students' future whether that be post-secondary or career based.  RVHS has implemented many innovative programs, such as the Privilege-Based Attendance System, Ramp-Up to Readiness, and the 1:1 initiative where all students have a Chromebook.  In an effort to better prepare our students for the future, we have started Cardinal Academic Success Time (CAST).  Basically, it is a time for students to receive remediation during the school day.

Communication is a priority.  Each of our high school teachers has a website and a Schoology account that is used both to inform parents and students about their classes.  The Principal’s Weekly Emails are sent out through Skyward and posted on this website.  Every student in the high school is part of a homeroom, which meets weekly to check grades and attendance.  Students will remain in the same homeroom (same teacher and students) for their entire high school career.

As a School District, we are moving toward using less paper and more electronic communication. Consequently, it is important to provide the school with your current email addresses and cell phone numbers. Also make sure you have access to Skyward, which is our student management system.  This system allows you to view current grades, report cards, lunch account balances, and student schedules.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact any staff member.

Sincerely,
Rick Jorgenson
Principal
