WELCOME!!
My name is Jeannie Uhlenkamp. This is my eighth year in the Redwood Valley school district, and I just love my job! I feel we have an excellent program here for students with special needs, and I also feel very fortunate to work in a progressive school environment with supportive, caring staff. Personally, I received my MSE in education at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls with an EBD licensure from Augsburg. Before moving to Redwood, I taught at NE Metro 916 for 7 years at the Setting IV, where I worked with students with a variety of disabilites including: autism, emotional behavior disorder, learning disabilities, and mental illness. This year I will be in room 130 in the high school. This is a resource room setting focusing on academic achievement, self-regulation, life skills, practical job skills through Caffeine Cravers, and transition plans leading into life after high school. I am also the autism consultant for the district and work with various students with ASD throughout the day with the goal of helping students with self-regulation and social communication. I now live in North Redwood with my husband, Mike and two children, Sophie and Axel. I feel passionate about teaching and am here to assist anyone in need. Please feel free to contact me at anytime!
