4/1/21
Dear parent, staff, and community,
It has been a while since I put out an update, so I thought I would do that before the break. RASD return to in person has gone well . Our staff and students are doing great adhering to the guidelines and getting back to a normal learning environment. However, our community numbers for COVID are currently on the rise.
As of Monday, March 29th these are our schools numbers:
PreK: 1 positive, 8 under quarantine as close contacts to a positive or symptomatic and testing
RG: 2 positive, 4 under quarantine as close contacts to a positive or symptomatic and testing
MS: 2 positive and 11 under quarantine- as close contacts to a positive or symptomatic and testing.
HS 2 positive and 18 under quarantine as close contacts to a positive or symptomatic and testing.
Staff: 5 as close contacts to a positive or symptomatic and testing-Two of these were a few days short of not having to quarantine as they have been vaccinated.
The community number is at 38 today which is higher than we have had for awhile. It is our hope to continue in person for the remainder of the school year, but we need to continue to do our part in school and in the community to make that a reality. As we enter another break, where families will be gathering, we are asking everyone to continue to practice social distancing, hand washing, and masking when appropriate.
Reminder: There is no school on Friday, April 2nd or Monday, April 5th.
I hope that everyone has a well deserved break and can enjoy some great weather.
Sincerely,
Becky Cselovszki, Superintendent of Schools
