Parents/Guardians and Students:
Redwood Valley High School has received a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education to start a tutoring program for students in grades 5-12, called the “Cardinal Help Center.” We have hired 10 high school students who will provide tutoring services before and after school, as well as virtually in the evening. This is an exciting opportunity to provide assistance to students throughout the school year.
Currently, tutoring will be on an individual basis, meaning students will work 1:1 with a tutor. If we have multiple students needing help in the same class, we may combine some students to form a study group. This service will be free of charge and you can pick the times and days that work best for you.
Tutoring will be available in school at the following times:
7:45-8:15 a.m.
3:30-4:00 p.m.
4:00-4:30 p.m.
We will also make individual virtual appointments in the evenings via Google Meet. To sign up, fill out a short registration form, and you will be contacted by Michelle Madsen, Faculty Advisor for the Cardinal Help Center.
Tutoring will start on October 13, so please register early so we can get everything set up. We hope this service will help students be successful in their classes and to maximize learning. If you have any question, feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,
Rick Jorgenson Michelle Madsen
