Welcome to the Indian Education program
at Reede Gray Elementary!

My name is Dorothy Neis and I am the Native American support staff at Reede Gray Elementary. This program is funded through the Lower Sioux Indian Community to assist Native American students.
I am a member of the Lower Sioux community and have been working at Reede Gray through the Indian Ed program for over 10 years. I work with Native American students in grades K-4 in their classrooms if they need help and after school. My role is to be a mentor in helping these students feel comfortable and successful at school. An important part of this is for students to keep up with their homework. I provide an after school homework session for small groups of students. Teachers let me know when a student may need this support or parents can call if they have concerns. I can assist students with homework Mondays through Thursdays.
If you are interested in having your child get services from the Indian Ed program, feel free to contact me. You can call me at Reede Gray Elementary 507-644-2627 and my Extension #7223. You can leave a message at this number or call me between 3:15-4:00 PM.or email me at dneis@redwoodareaschools.com
