ENERGY EFFICIENCY REBATES FOR NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Redwood Falls Public Utilities Superintendent Jason Halvorson; Nancy Kelly and Brian Hammarsten, Energy Services Representatives; presented Finance Director, Tom Anderson and Superintendent, Becky Cselovszki with a $82,674 rebate check. Energy efficiency projects included LED lighting; an ENERGY STAR™ reach-in freezer; an ENERGY STAR™ dishwasher; a mini-split air source heat pump; and central chiller for building air conditioning. The efficiency measures reduce greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions of thirty passenger vehicles. Tom shared, “It is critical that we are financially responsible with the public’s money. Utilizing these rebate programs provides additional financial resources for our schools. In addition, we save money on our energy bills by using energy efficient equipment.”
