This week's Cardinal Corner comes from our Director of Teaching & Learning, Karla Beck!

Mrs. Argetsinger's 7th grade science students expanded on their studies of genetics to precipitate and extract DNA from strawberries this week.
Many students took their final samples home after adding string to make necklaces or keychains.

Congratulations to our 11/26/24 Reede Gray Elementary Cardinal Shout Outs this week. As important as it is to feel Gratitude, it is also important to show others that you are Grateful. Showing your Gratitude to others will make them feel appreciated. A simple “Thank You and tell them why”, like “Thank you for noticing I needed some help” or “Thank you for inviting me to sit with you.” Way to go to our Reede Gray students this week. We are so proud of our students each and everyday!! It's always a GREAT day to be a Cardinal!!! * Be Respectful * Be Responsible * Be Safe #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #Gratitude #WopidaBduhe

Last Friday, 12 members of Redwood Valley DECA participated in the DECA conference held at the RACC. They connected with college students from 7 schools, attended workshops on marketing, resumes, interviews, and entrepreneurship, and participated in a team challenge where they worked with members of other schools to solve a business problem.
All of our students did an awesome job getting out of their comfort zone and trying something new. In addition, Michael Perkins and Ming Lin were on the 2nd and 3rd place teams, coming home with a medal for their efforts.

Shoutout to longtime Redwood Valley educator Dave Madsen on reffing his final Football game at the State Tournament. He has reffed Football for 47 years!
