Congratulations to our 10/18/23 Reede Gray Cardinal Code Shoutouts this week. Responsibility is taking action and understanding the impact of our choices. 2 ways that we can grow in Responsibility is 1. Manage our Time--making choices to get important things done first and 2. Organize our Things-like cleaning out our backpack regularly or packing our backpack before we get ready to go to school the night before school. A young student shared, “I can be part of the solution to a lot of problems with my words and actions. That is my Responsibility.” We are very proud of you! *Be Respectful *Be Responsible *Be Safe #OhHeyReedeGray #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #CardinalCode #BeKind #Wacinyapicawaun

Just a reminder that tomorrow, October 18th the students will have an early dismissal due to MEA break!

The RVHS Vet Science class has been working on properly wrapping surgical gown packs and scrubbing into a mock surgery. Students practice sterile techniques to reduce the number of harmful pathogens in a surgical setting. The skills the students are learning can also be applied in other industries as well.

This weekend, we got to recognize Pete Nez for being named Assistant Coach of the Year by the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association. Pete has been an amazing asset to our basketball program and has positively impacted so many student athletes that have come through our program. We can't thank Pete enough for all that he does for our athletes! Well deserved honor for Pete! Congratulations!

Congratulations to our 10/6/23 Reede Gray Cardinal Code Shoutouts this week. Respect makes us feel like we matter and like we belong. When you show Respect to others, you get to help others feel that way too. Just imagine what it would be like if everyone felt like they mattered and belonged. Even if we don’t agree with someone, we can still show Kindness and Respect with the words we say. Our students work hard at their Respect each and every day. We are very proud of you! *Be Respectful *Be Responsible *Be Safe #OhHeyReedeGray #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #CardinalCode #BeKind #Ohoda

Students in Ryan Dixon's Dakota Language class have been making signs to place around the school. Thanks to Ella O'Keefe, who made this sign for my office. In Dakota, it reads "The School Leader's Name is Mr. Jorgenson). Awesome job RVHS students!

Congrats to Annie Hammer, a senior at Redwood Valley High School, for receiving an academic honor from the College Board National Indigenous Recognition Program. Annie was within the top 10% of PSAT/NMSQT assessment takers in Minnesota, earning her academic honors from the College Board’s National Recognition Programs! We believe there’s so much that makes our students unique and that make them an asset to colleges and scholarship programs.

Congratulations to our 9/29/23 Reede Gray Cardinal Code Shoutouts this week. Respect is seeing good in others and treating them with care. Using Respectful words might look like apologizing when you do or say something that hurts them. It is important for each of us to THINK ( is it: true, helpful, inspiring, necessary and kind) of how our words and actions make others and ourselves feel. We are very proud of each of you for growing in your Character Strong habits! *Be Respectful *Be Responsible *Be Safe #OhHeyReedeGray #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #CardinalCode #BeKind #Ohoda
