8th graders took a field trip to the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis to see a live production of “For the People”. In Language Arts, we recently finished our first unit titled “Perspectives and Narratives.” In class we looked at the importance and power of sharing a narrative and to also recognize the different perspectives that are involved in every story. After the play, we enjoyed lunch at a nearby park.

Congratulations to our 11/2/2023 Reede Gray Cardinal Code Shoutouts this week. Responsibility is taking action and understanding the impact of our choices. It is not always easy to be Responsible. It is important to think about what gets in our way, like distractions and we want to plan ahead for them. Our students continue to practice and improve in their responsibility every day. We are very proud of you! *Be Respectful *Be Responsible *Be Safe #OhHeyReedeGray #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #CardinalCode #BeKind #Wacinyapicawaun

Congratulations to our 10/27/23 Reede Gray Cardinal Code Shoutouts this week. Responsibility is taking action and understanding the impact of our choices. Important ways that we can practice responsibility is by standing up for others, choosing to do what you know is right or choosing to say what is kind and helpful to others. Choices like these matter a lot because they impact others. Responsibility is important because it doesn’t only impact us, but those around us too. Keep up the great Responsibility practice. We are very proud of each of you! *Be Respectful *Be Responsible *Be Safe #OhHeyReedeGray #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #CardinalCode #BeKind #Wacinyapicawaun

Cardinal Chronicles - October Issue https://5il.co/27t0g

Congratulations to our 10/18/23 Reede Gray Cardinal Code Shoutouts this week. Responsibility is taking action and understanding the impact of our choices. 2 ways that we can grow in Responsibility is 1. Manage our Time--making choices to get important things done first and 2. Organize our Things-like cleaning out our backpack regularly or packing our backpack before we get ready to go to school the night before school. A young student shared, “I can be part of the solution to a lot of problems with my words and actions. That is my Responsibility.” We are very proud of you! *Be Respectful *Be Responsible *Be Safe #OhHeyReedeGray #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #CardinalCode #BeKind #Wacinyapicawaun

The RVHS Vet Science class has been working on properly wrapping surgical gown packs and scrubbing into a mock surgery. Students practice sterile techniques to reduce the number of harmful pathogens in a surgical setting. The skills the students are learning can also be applied in other industries as well.

This weekend, we got to recognize Pete Nez for being named Assistant Coach of the Year by the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association. Pete has been an amazing asset to our basketball program and has positively impacted so many student athletes that have come through our program. We can't thank Pete enough for all that he does for our athletes! Well deserved honor for Pete! Congratulations!
