RVHS has displays with Career Trees. Students use these to identify jobs in career fields, including those that can be entered right after high school, or available after an apprenticeship, to those requiring a 2 or 4 year degree.

Talk to your kids about the harmful effects of Vaping. The CDC published a very informative guide with lots of pictures showing what these devices look like. https://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/basic_information/e-cigarettes/pdfs/ecigarette-or-vaping-products-visual-dictionary-508.pdf

Redwood Area Schools has been awarded a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education to start a Student Help Center, which will provide tutoring services for students. We will open in October, and provide drop-in and scheduled tutoring at school and at home via Zoom/Google Meet. Details are being finalized and changes will occur based on student need. This tutoring service will be available to students in grades 5-12, and student tutors will be hired to provide the service. A faculty advisor will oversee the program, along with the RVHS Principal. Any students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to apply to be a student tutor. Hours are flexible, but students should be able to work 2 shifts per week minimum (may be before/after school, or evenings). Students will be paid $10.09 per hour. If interested, fill out the application at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DWqD-WF9tNwgAmPc8ZeQiWOuLTpID06h/view?usp=sharing and return to the HS Office by September 10. See Mr. Jorgenson with questions.
