Congratulations to our 10/4/24 Reede Gray Elementary Cardinal Shout Outs this week. As we get ready to close our month in talking about Respe, we have been learning about how Respect feels. Respect can make us feel like we matter and like we belong. When you show Respect to others, you get to help others feel that way too. We have learned how we get to create this great place, our school community, together. We are so proud of our students.! It'as always a GREAT day to be a Cardinal!!! * Be Respectful * Be Responsible * Be Safe #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #Be Respectful #Ohoda

On October 10, 2024, RVMS students will be attending the Duck Cup Memorial presentation, a mental health awareness and suicide prevention program, in the PAC. The Duck Cup Memorial Fund was established by graduates from New Prague High School Class of 2000 in memory of one of their classmates who was lost to suicide. In 2024, Duck Cup reached over 43,000 students, parents, teachers and community members. They are dedicated to ending the stigma associated with mental health issues, and working on prevention through education. We understand that this content may be difficult for some students, and we will have our mental health team available during the presentation. If you would prefer that your student not attend the program, please contact the MS Office at 507- 644-8206 by October 8. For more information, see the attached flier, visit the Duck Cup Memorial Website at www.duckcupmemorial.org.

High School Conferences are tonight!

Natalie Mathiowetz, RDN, LN, from Centracare in Redwood. Ms. Mathiowetz presented information to the cross country team on how to fuel their bodies and hydrate to reach their best potential. We appreciate Ms. Mathiowetz taking the time to share her knowledge with our team.

Redwood Valley High School Midquarter Conferences will be on Tuesday, October 1 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. There will be no appointments—walk-in to any teacher’s classroom during this time for a conference. If you would prefer a phone call or video conference, contact your child’s teacher.
We encourage you to ask the following questions, in addition to asking about grades:
1. What areas of strength do you see in my student?
2. What are some areas of growth?
3. What goals would you like to see my student work on this year?
4. Tell me about my student's character in class (work ethic, participation, etc).
Hope to see you at conferences!

Save the date for our student council blood drive on October 7th!

Today we recognize National Truth and Reconciliation Day.
