Congratulations to our 11/22/23 Reede Gray Cardinal Code Shoutouts this week. Did you know that practicing Gratitude can help us feel happier, healthier and more positive? Reminding ourselves of what we are Grateful for can also help us when we are feeling many different feelings. Remembering what challenges we face, there are still good things to take note of in the world. This week's students are doing just that-practicing their Gratitude towards others and themselves.. We are so proud of them. #OhHeyReedeGray #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #CardinalCode #BeKind #WopidaBduhe

Congratulations to our 11/17/23 Reede Gray Cardinal Code Shoutouts this week. We are learning in Character Strong that our emotions can help us recognize Gratitude. Throughout our days we get busy and don’t always see the good things that are happening in our lives. One emotion we talk about is Happiness. When you feel happy, take a moment to look around for someone or something that you can feel Grateful for. This week's students are doing just that-looking and finding what they are Grateful for. We are so proud of them. #OhHeyReedeGray #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #CardinalCode #BeKind #WopidaBduhe

Congratulations to our 11/10/2023 Reede Gray Cardinal Code Shoutouts this week. Gratitude means choosing to appreciate the people and things in our lives. There are times that we need to stop and remember a time in our day when someone did something for us that made our life better or made us feel happy. This is a moment when you feel gratitude. We will be learning how to practice Gratitude and how to express it to others. This week's students are doing just that--practicing their Gratitude towards others. We are so proud of them! #OhHeyReedeGray #ReedeGrayElementary #CharacterStrong #AlwaysTheCardinalWay #CardinalCode #BeKind #WopidaBduhe

The HOSA kids along with Mrs. Zeug hosted the 3rd Graders to do some further learning about the human body. It was a great experience all around. It's amazing to see learners at every level working together.

Shawn Wohnoutka of Redwood-Cottonwood Rivers Control Area (RCRCA) spoke with the RVHS chemistry classes about water quality testing. He shared about projects RCRCA has done in the area, best practices for water collection and testing, and some features of our local watershed. Students followed up by performing water quality testing and analysis in the nature center watershed. Thank you Shawn and RCRCA for this engaging learning opportunity!

8th graders took a field trip to the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis to see a live production of “For the People”. In Language Arts, we recently finished our first unit titled “Perspectives and Narratives.” In class we looked at the importance and power of sharing a narrative and to also recognize the different perspectives that are involved in every story. After the play, we enjoyed lunch at a nearby park.
