Mr. Sommers, our new Dakota Studies Teacher at RVHS, recently had his students researching regions of Native culture to find notable tribes, the tribal origin story, religious practices in the region, culture and lifestyle, achievements, and geographic features that affected the lifestyle of the tribes. Students created a powerpoint in groups of two students to present to the class. The students were really into the research and we are excited to see their presentations!

Using a DECA case study, students in Introduction to Business and Technical Writing at RVHS assumed the role of business owners looking to secure funding to start and grow their 3D printed planter business. Each group had to explain the requirements necessary to begin selling their products, list capital resources needed, budget for operating and overhead costs, and propose potential additions to their product mix. Their pitch decks were presented to the class.
